Globally, research group is facing one of the most pivotal times in the pursuit of cancer cures, and Peter Mac stands at its forefront. Together,
research group aim to lead a new era of cancer prevention, care and discovery, supported by state-of-the-art facilities at our new home within the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre building.

Research/Job Area-  Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related discipline.

Location-  Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Australia

Suitable applicants will have an advanced degree (PhD) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related discipline.

Additional requirements include expertise in polysome profiling and/or ribosome profiling techniques, extensive knowledge of the signalling pathways regulating protein synthesis and experience working with genetically engineered mouse models of cancer.

Job/Position Description- The research environment will be highly collaborative, with regular interactions with other members of the Prostate Cancer Research Program as well as cancer biologists from a number of Peter Mac laboratories. The candidate will work on joint initiatives but will also be responsible for independently managing specified projects.

This position will be initially offered for a fixed term of 24 months with the possible opportunity to extend. Remuneration is commensurate with qualifications and experience in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Health Sector) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020 (1RA6 – RESRCH ASST LV A YR6 to 1RA10 – RESRCH ASST LV A YR10).
