About- ICFO is offering a postdoctoral position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment. 
The Functional Optoelectronic NanoMaterials group at ICFO, led by ICREA Prof. Gerasimos Konstantatos, is looking for a postdoctoral fellow to develop mid and long wave infrared photodetectors based on graphene/2D materials using appropriate sensitizers.

Project Title- sensitized Graphene and 2D material photodetectors in the mid and long wave infrared

Location- ICFO – The Institute of Photonic Sciences, Spain  

Eligibility/Qualification–

Candidates must hold an internationally-recognized Ph.D.-equivalent degree (or evidence of its completion in the nearest future) in Applied Physics, Material Science or Electrical Engineering, prior to taking up the position.

The incumbent should have demonstrated expertise on fabrication and characterization of graphene or 2D material based photodetectors.

The incumbent should have strong micro/nano fabrication expertise and graphene/2D material processing as well as documented experience on characterization of optoelectronic devices.

Prior expertise on detector characterization in the infrared and/or quantum dot optoelectronics will be considered a plus.

Job/Position Description- The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team comprising physicists, material scientists and chemists to design, develop and characterize high performance CMOS compatible graphene and 2D material based photodetectors for sensing and imaging applications in the mid and long wave infrared.

Salaries will be commensurate with the experience of the candidates.

The position is available initially for 1 year with possibility for extension for additional years.
