About- Chalmers University of Technology now has an open post doc position that will be jointly hosted by the Automatic Control (AC) group at the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Urban Mobility Systems (UMS) group at the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering (ACE). The position is with the Automatic Control group in the division of Systems and Control. Aiming for sustainable solutions, the group is involved in many research projects on energy savings using automatic control methods. In general the projects are carried out in collaboration with other research groups, institutes and industry
Research/Job Area- Control, transport or mechatronics
Project Title- Energy optimisation and control of autonomous electric vehicles
Location- Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden
- To qualify for this position, you must have a doctoral degree preferably in control, transport or mechatronics;
- the degree should generally not be older than three years. The position requires sound verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Previous experience of traffic systems is a merit.
Job/Position Description- This project is a collaboration between Automatic Control group at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Urban Mobility Systems group at the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering. Urban Mobility Systems group led by Prof Xiaobo Qu is focused on improving safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our future urban mobility systems, and is coordinating several large national and international research projects on intelligent transport. The two teams will collaboratively contribute with expertise in electric vehicles and the traffic system.
Your major responsibility as a postdoc is to pursue research in line with the project, to publish and present scientific articles, and to take part in group discussions. In addition, you will contribute to PhD and master student co-supervision, and very minimal teaching.
